Here’s An Awesome Healthy, Fat Fighting Snack

Do you like protein bars?

I like them for their convenience, but most of them taste horrible.

They’re dry and some taste like you’re eating cardboard.

And generally speaking if you find one in a store that tastes good it’s probably not that good for you because it will be loaded with sugar, artificial sweeteners, poor quality proteins and fillers.

All you have to do is take a look at the wrapper to decide whether or not it’s good for you.

If anything resembling sugar is in the first few ingredients, don’t buy it.

If there are ingredients you can’t pronounce in the first 5 or so, put it back.

If there are a lot of ingredients, put it back.

However I have an awesome protein bar recipe to share with you that not only tastes great, but is great for you.

My sister gave it to me and I passed it on to my wife because I do not cook…at all.

It’s very easy to make and doesn’t require very many ingredients.

Best of all the ingredients aren’t that expensive.

All you need is some protein powder (I prefer chocolate), all natural peanut butter, honey, and raw oats.

Here’s the quanities of each:

2 1/4 cup of protein powder
1 1/2 cup honey
2 cups of all natural, no sugar added peanut butter
3 cups of raw oats

Melt the peanut butter and honey over low heat.  Then add the oats and protein powder and mix well.

Press the mixture into a 9×13 pan and put it in the refrigerator for at least an hour.

Cut them up and enjoy!

But it’s very important to use all natural, no sugar added peanut butter (or something that looks similar) because regular peanut butter is too sugary and can turn a healthy snack into a sugar bomb.

I am not kidding when I tell you that they are the best tasting protein bars I have ever tasted.

I don’t know where my sister got the recipe, but I am eternally grateful because my wife makes these about every week and I go through them like they’re candy.

They’re perfect for those times when you’re craving something sweet because they’ve got the honey and chocolate flavored protein powder to take care of the sweet tooth, but you won’t be left feeling guilty about what you just ate.

I pack 1 or 2 of them with me before I leave the house so I have them sitting on my desk for a quick snack to go along with my fruit.
