Fat Blasting Workout Assignment

Hey hey!

So how was your weekend?

How have your workouts been coming along?

Have you been doing them consistently?

Have you been working intensely during your workouts or going through the motions?

Those are the two most important aspects of any workout programconsistently and working hard.

If you’re not consistent, you can’t expect results.

If you’re not working hard, you can expect poor results…or none at all.

Remember it doesn’t take long to fit in a quality workout, but you have to work while working out.

On that note, let’s dive into this week’s Assignment.

Last week’s assignment was nutrition related, and if it’s possible, I’d like you to continue on with that assignment because there’s no reason to stop.

This week’s assignment is workout related.

Actually it only involves one exercise, but I’m asking you to do a lot of them.

What exercise might that be?

Burpees!

This week I’m asking you to do burpees…lots of burpees.

More specifically, I’m asking you to do 30 burpees every day this week.

What do you think?

It may sound difficult, but it’s not really that difficult if you break it down.

  • You could bang out 30 in a row – which would be AWESOME!
  • You could split it up into 2 sets of 15, or 3 sets of 10.
  • You could do 1 set of 15 first thing in the morning, and then another set of 15 in the evening.
  • You could add a set of 5 after each superset of circuit in your regular workout, which will add a bit of intensity to your program…which is my recommended route.

What’s that mean?

Take the following workout as an example…

1A) Push-up w/Hand Raise – 10 reps

1B) Bodyweight Overhead Squat – 20 reps

1C) DB Rear Fly – 8 reps

1D) DB or KB Swing – 20 reps

Let’s say you normally do that workout in a circuit format for 10-15 minutes.

Well, by following this week’s assignment, you would add a “1E” and it would be burpees.

See what I’m saying?

But you can’t stop on your workout days because you have to do this assignment EVERY DAY this week.

Why am I so mean?

Because I said so.  Isn’t that the best explanation a parent can have?!

I’m asking you to do this for a couple reasons.

First, because it adds a little extra intensity to your program.  That’s the simple reason.

Second, summer is coming and everybody wants to look better for summer and adding a regular dose of burpees to your program will help get you to your goal quicker.

Third, if you’re having trouble being consistent with your workouts, this can help get you on the right path.

Fourth…because I said so! 🙂

Alrighty, that’s all for today.

Have a great one and don’t forget the burpees!!

Talk to you soon!
