Hey!  What’s goin’ down?  I trust your day is off to an awesomely and unbelievable start!  I know mine is.

Ya know, I love 4-minute workouts.

I love them in a hotel.

I love 4-minute workouts in a bedroom.

I love them in my training studio.

I love 4-minute workouts in a hallway.

I love them on a plane (which makes for some funny looks).

I even love 4-minute workouts in my backyard.

To show you just how much I love these extra special workouts, I have made a bunch of videos detailing some killer 4-minute fat blasting workouts just for you!

Maybe click here for a 4-Minute Abs Workout:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2W4xTHu26TE

And certainly click here:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBbS5WtpplE

You can do these as a stand-alone workout for 4 minutes (plus a quick warm-up) if you’re pressed for time.  You can combine 2 of them, or even 3 and create one nasty fat blasting workout.

There’s really no end to the creativity you can have when doing 4-minute workouts.

You could even combine one with one of my 10-minute workouts and create…a 14-minute workout!  Yes, I do math sometimes too.

That should be enough to get you started for today!

Have an awesome day!

And Remember…

Be A Superhero Today!

P.S. – One of the bonuses with the new and improved version of Fat Loss To Go is a couple workout programs devoted to 4-minute workouts.  One is called 4-Minute Fat Loss Workouts and the other is called 4-Minute Abs Workouts.

Home Workout Video And Throwin’ Parents In A Lake

What’s goin’ on?

Did you have an awesome weekend?  I know I did.  I got to watch a little football, hang out with the family, chill out and just be awesome (that’s taken from my buddy Brad Pilon).

As I sat down to write to you I thought of something that happened a couple weeks ago while on a mini-vacation/business thingy out in Colorado.  There was a playground about a block from the condo we were staying (which also happened to be on a gorgeous lake) and Maren wanted to play there on a regular basis.

On our last day she made a friend and played with her for a while, but then something happened.

I’m sure it’s happened to you as well…

They got into a little fight.  It started out innocently enough – kids being selfish – but progressed and the other little girl got a little nasty and her parents weren’t going to do anything about it (I don’t even know if they paid attention to her at all while we were there), so we decided to just leave.

I smiled and aided Andrea in consoling our heart-broken little girl – this REALLY upset her and she was NOT happy with the other little girl – but what I really wanted to do was toss the girl’s parents into the lake.

A little over-aggressive thought process?  A little.  Justifiable?  I think so!

Why did I get off onto this little tangent?

I have no idea.

My real reason for emailing you was to share another awesome 10-minute workout video with you!

Watch the video below to check it out and give it a go!

If you didn’t get last week’s 10-minute workout video, click here to give it a try.

I also wanted to share an article I found with you.  It’s about a process many processed food manufacturers use to strip every last bit of meat off the bone.  It’s pretty stinkin’ disgusting, but I think you need to know this information to illustrate that processed food manufacturers are not out for your benefit and shouldn’t always be trusted.

To check that little doozy out, click here.

Okey dokey, that’s all I have for you today!

Talk to you soon!

Hey!

What’s happenin’?  I trust your weekend was amazing.  Mine was pretty sweet and actually my last couple weeks have been pretty awesome.  We took a little vacation to the mountains and pretty much did nothing.  I read a bit, napped, went for long walks and enjoyed the scenery, good company and good food!

I also mixed in a little business when I headed up to Vail and did a presentation on nutrition and the power of the mind in front of a group of awesome ladies.  They actually made me do some push-ups and in that thin mountain air I was dead!  Not to mention I was in my “pretty clothes” – it’s kinda nice to get out of my shorts and t-shirt and dress like a normal person every once in a while!

Anyway, the REAL reason I’m chattin’ you up today is to share another killer 10-minute workout with you.

It’s a 4-exercise fat blasting circuit that’s a mean little devil.  I put a client through it the end of last week and he was doggin’, but it’s adaptable to nearly any fitness level which is pretty cool.

To give it a watch and blast some fat, check it out below…

What do you think?  Actually I’d love to get your thoughts AFTER you give this sweet (and nasty) 10-minute fat blasting workout a try!

Hey!  How’s your week going?  Mine’s been crazy busy (finishing up a couple of projects and starting a HUGE new one…), but I still wanted to send you a quick note and I thought I’d do something a bit different with this post.

There's no reason for posting this picture...but I still like it!

I thought I’d share a few links to some new and older articles, workouts and videos that you might have missed.

First up is a newbie.  It’s another quick 4-Minute Workout video.  The link takes you to my YouTube page and if you haven’t subscribed yet, you really should.  Sometimes I don’t let everyone know when I add new workout videos and the only way to see them is to subscribe.

To check it out, click here =>   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fQRS6reJcDg

Next up is an article I sent out last week about how weight loss and financial planning are related.  The spam filters HATED it, but it’s a nice little article.

To check it out, click here =>  http://thefitdadsays.com/how-are-weight-loss-and-financial-planning-related/

Another recent article was about 3 very specific questions you need to ask yourself in order to kick-start your fat loss.  Ask them and you’ll be on your way!

To check it out, click here =>  http://thefitdadsays.com/3-questions-to-kick-start-your-fat-loss/

The last one I’ll share with you is a bunch of workouts I did in the month of May.  I know it’s almost July, but the workouts still work and it’s still summer-time and you can still blast a bunch of fat before the end of swimsuit season with these puppies!

To check it out, click here =>  http://thefitdadsays.com/fat-blasting-and-beach-body-ready-workouts-for-may/

That’s all I have for today!

I hope you have an awesome week and if there’s ever anything you’d like me to cover in these articles or videos, shoot me an email to let me know.

Have an awesome day!

Ed

P.S. – I couldn’t help myself…here’s another link to an article showing you how to Bust out of your Weight Loss Plateaus.  To check it out, click here =>  http://thefitdadsays.com/stuck-in-a-rut-need-to-bust-through-your-weight-loss-plateau/

I remember early in my “working” career going to a ‘Retirement Plan’ meeting where they told us all about saving for retirement, the options we had, what the company matched, tax benefits, blah, blah, blah.

Very boring for a person who would rather be reading about exercise or business, or working out…or sitting on my butt in front of the television

But one thing that always stuck out in these meetings was the graph that showed you the effect of compound interest.

You know the graph I’m talking about?  It gave examples of different amounts of money put away each year, average interest rate earned, and the number of years it was allowed to earn that interest.

It was always very interesting to see the effects compound interest had on the money you saved…sometimes almost shocking.

Why is a fitness guy talking about financial planning?

Because the same “effect” can be seen in weight loss and fitness.

Just working out once or twice per week will have some benefit, especially if it’s continued for weeks, months and years; however the benefit is limited.

So for this example, the number of times you workout would be equivalent to the amount of money you allocate to the retirement fund.

The interest rate would be similar to the “other” stuff like diet, sleep, stress-free living and workout quality and intensity.

Are you with me?

Let me put it this way…

If you only save a little bit of money, and you put it somewhere that has a bad return on investment (like under your mattress or in the housing market 3 years ago), you won’t earn much compound interest and you may lose all your money.

If you only workout once or twice per week, your diet is horrible and you sleep 5 hours per night…your results will be horrible – you won’t lose much weight and you may even injure yourself.

Now does my correlation make sense?

If you save a little more money, put it somewhere with a proven track record of a good average interest rate and continue adding money to it, you will potentially earn a decent amount of money.

If you workout multiple times per week, continue to improve the quality of your diet and nutrition and make your workouts “count” by keeping them short, but full of high quality exercises and the intensity is where it should be – then you can achieve some pretty amazing results.

Take for instance this workout video:

YouTube Preview Image

The workout only lasts 4 minutes (not including warm-up) and if you only do it once or twice per week…your results won’t be good.

But if you take that same workout and did it twice a day for 5 days in a row, and rotate it with some similar workouts, you’ll achieve better results.

Then, if you add another 4-minute workout to the mix on the days you have more free time…the results will be better.

See where I’m going with this?

Then, if you take that same workout and combine it with adding more fruits and vegetables while limiting the junk, your results will be even better.

That’s how you achieve long-lasting weight loss!

That’s how you lose all that extra flab, increase your energy and feel better than you have in years!

That’s how you achieve your ‘Superhero Body!’

So go on…let the law of ‘compounding weight loss interest’ work for you!  You won’t get rich, but you’ll lose a lot of extra fat.

Have an awesome day!

It’s rare that I pimp books – especially if I haven’t written them myself and don’t know the person who wrote it, but I’ve got to tell you about a couple books that hit the shelves a couple weeks ago.

Both are called “The Big Book Of Exercises” and are put out by Men’s Health Magazine and Women’s Health Magazine.  They are 2 awesome books that cover 619 exercises – including pictures, detailed descrptions, etc. and the exercises are split up into what areas of the body they predominantly work, etc.

But if you want to know the COOLEST part…the MOST AWESOMEST (my word) part…the HOTTEST DAMN-DIGGITY part…the WICKED COOL part (with thick Boston accent)…the ASS-KICKINEST (my word) part – okay now I’ve run out of phrases for cool so I’ll just get to the point…

Watch the video to see why these books are so bloody awesome and why I wholeheartedly recommend them!

I think these books should be a part of everyone’s fitness library.  To get your hands on them, click the images below and you’ll be taken to Amazon.com or you can head to your nearest bookseller or I imagine you could get them from the Men’s Health and Women’s Health websites.

2010 Has Me Exploding With Excitement!

Wow!  2009 is gone and now we’re on to 2010.  I don’t know what your 2009 was like, but I couldn’t be happier that it’s gone.

Don’t get me wrong, it was a good year, but I’m so dad-gum excited about 2010 I can hardly stand it.  I’ve got so many things in store for you it makes my eyeballs want to pop out of my head due to excitement!

A quick personal note – to be totally honest I didn’t stick with my personal workouts very well over the past couple months.

I did the workouts, but I wasn’t that “into” them.  I thought they were boring, stale and dry and if you feel that way there’s no way you’re going to stick with them – even if you’re someone who gets paid to exercise!

But the past few weeks I’ve been experimenting on myself and I’m going to start experimenting on some of my personal clients and when I get the results I’m after I’ll be giving you the same stuff.  I’m pretty stoked about these new workouts I’ve been writing.

So stay tuned for those!

But now on to this week’s 10-minute workouts

Day 1:

Dumbbell/Bodyweight Circuit
