fitdadTVEverybody likes to work their abs, right?

Okay, so maybe “like” is a strong word, but everybody wants to work their abs.

If that weren’t true, there wouldn’t be gobs of abs exercise gizmos on late-night infomercials or in virtually every department store – not to mention sitting in many people’s closets and basements.

There are different ways to work the abs than wasting your money on worthless gadgets and gizmos, or even doing crunches and, dare I say, Planks.

It’s easier for me to just show you.

To see what I mean and find out an awesome way to work your abs, give this video a watch…

Give those exercise tweaks a try in your next workout and, if done right, you should feel it in your abs the next day.

Have an awesome day!

Unorthodox, And Dare I Say Fun, Way To Work Your Abs

Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

fitdadTVDo you like toys?

I love ‘em.

When I was a kid, I had a ton of toys – most went unused, as most kids’ toys do.

Now that I’m a big boy, I’ve moved on to different types of toys.  I have a couple guitars (and plan on getting many more), I have re-discovered skateboarding and plan on getting a couple more skateboards, as well as my various electronic gadgets.

Why?  I have no flippin’ idea!

However, I do enjoy getting and experimenting with new toys in my training studio.

I enjoy figuring out new ways to train people with unorthodox “toys” like sandbags and carpet sliders.

Carpet sliders are my new favorite because they’re an awesome, and very unorthodox, way to really hit the abs.

Any exercise you do with them, they work your abs and core very intensely, whether it’s because of the balance involved or just because of the way you have to do the exercise, they hit the abs and they hit ‘em hard.

So what do you think?  Are you going to rush out and buy a pair?  I use them on a daily basis and can tell a big difference in my own abs – strength and definition.

Have an awesome day!

How can you say no to this face?

How can you say no to this face?

“Daddy, can you help me?”  I gotta tell ya, as a dad that is one of the best questions I get from Maren, unless it’s for something like jumping off the back of the couch or playing with knives.

Who would’ve thought those things would be bad?

At this age, she’s being as independent as she can (or as far as we’ll let her), but there are certain things that she still asks for help with like getting the dog to do what she wants (which is pretty difficult, to say the least) or riding her tricycle.

Okay, now is the point in this post where I get stuck. How do I go from talking about Maren needing help with certain things to talking about you needing help with exercise form without the “slap in your face” comparisons to a child?

I can’t think of anything.  I’m not saying you’re like my daughter, other than you ask for help.

By far the most questions I receive sound something like…

“Ed, how do I do Burpees?”

“Okay, Mr. Fit Dad, how in the hell am I supposed to do this Plank Extension thingy?” (That’s an actual quote pulled from an email, by the way)

It only takes me a few hundred of those questions to realize that something should be done about that.

So I finally did it!  I filmed a bunch of “How To” videos and they’re now a bonus, along with the other follow-along workout videos for Fat Loss To Go (and 8 other bonuses).

Some of the videos cover just one exercise, while others cover a few exercises that are similar, i.e. Side Plank Extensions are covered in the same video as Plank Extensions.  Squats are covered in the same video as Lunges, etc.

Now whenever you have a problem understanding “how” an exercise should be done; whether it’s form or tempo, you have the option of seeing it rather than just reading it.

There’s a catch, though (there’s always a catch).  You have to own a copy of Fat Loss To Go.

Another quick announcement I want to share with you before I let you go.

Starting this month, I’m going to add a “Bonus Workout Of The Month”.  I’m constantly creating new workout programs and thought it would be fun to release some of these goodies to the world.  So, each month there will be a special bonus program added to Fat Loss To Go.

Butt Kickin' Complex Workouts are October's Workout Of The Month!

Butt Kickin' Complex Workouts are October's Workout Of The Month!

This month, the Bonus Program is a Butt Kickin’ Dumbbell Complex program.

I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of Dumbbell Complexes before, but they’re awesome workouts.  They’re quick, intense workouts that are added BEFORE your 10-minute workout in order to kick up the intensity a notch or 2.

I tested these on some of my in-studio clients, as well as myself, over the past few weeks and they’re awesome workouts.

Basically the workouts involve 4 or 5 exercises that you do in a circuit format, without changing weights or changing positions.  You stand in the same little area and do the workout without putting the weights down until you’re done – that’s what makes these puppies such a doozy.

Just like all my workouts, they can be molded and formed to whatever your fitness level is, except for beginners.  These are too intense for beginners…sorry.

If you’re ready to step up and lose your unwanted fat BEFORE the end of the year, rather than waiting until January 1, head to www.FatLossToGo.com/StartToday.html and get started today.

Oh yea, that’s right.  The end of 2009 is only around 90 days away.  If you get started today, you can make HUGE changes by the end of the year rather than being like everybody else and making their same-old New Year’s resolutions after they’ve stuffed themselves silly through the holiday season.

Don’t forget that you can do a 21-day Trial Run of Fat Loss To Go…kind of a “try before you buy” type of thing.  To learn more about that, head to www.FatLossToGo.com/Trial_Offer.html

So what do you think?  Are you ready?

Are you ready to look like the superhero you are?

Ed

P.S. – One last thing.   All past customers will receive a copy of the Workout Of The Month as well as have access to all the “How To” videos.  I don’t forget people once they’ve put their trust in me.

Fast Fat Loss Workout In 10 Minutes

Monday, September 28th, 2009

fitdadTVAnother day, another fast fat loss workout video for you.

This one is a 3-exercise, 10-minute circuit workout that uses dumbbell exercises and your own bodyweight.

It works your entire body, and even though there are no “direct” abs exercises like planks, crunches, plank extensions, etc. it still puts a lot of emphasis on the core and abs – plus virtually every muscle in your entire body.

It’s another amazingly simple workout that is very, very effective.

Give it a watch and try by clicking below:

Remember, the key to any fat loss workout, whether it be 10 minutes, 20 minutes or 30 minutes is to make sure you work hard and keep the intensity levels up.  You have to work hard if you want your workout to work…You gotta work the workout.

Have an awesome day!

Fast Fat Loss Cardio Workout Using Your Bodyweight

Monday, September 21st, 2009

fitdadTVI made a quick 10-minute workout video for you last week that’s ridiculously simple.

There are only 3 exercises and they’re all very “basic” movements.

Nothing fancy.

Nothing too advanced.

Nothing that will leave you saying, “I can’t do that.”

Yet after saying all that, it’s still very effective.

Sometimes the best and most effective workouts are the most basic and that’s why I made this workout so simple.

I want you to see that you don’t need any fancy equipment, fancy exercises (although I’ve got plenty I can give you) or lots of time…just a basic workout can give you very good results.

Just make sure you keep your form perfect and work hard.  That’s all I ever ask with these 10-minute workouts – work hard.
